Situated in Gujarat’s Junagadh district Gir National Park is one of the most renowned wildlife sanctuaries of the country and the world. The sanctuary was founded in the year 1965 and since then has made a sincere effort to conserve some of the rarest species of fauna and flora.
But what makes Gir famous among the tourists and wildlife enthusiasts is its herd of Asiatic lions carefully conserved here. No Gujarat tour is in fact complete without a tour of the Gir National Park.
Upon your arrival at Ahmedabad airport/railway station you are greeted by our tour representative who then escorts you to Gir National Park at Sasan Gir. The wildlife sanctuary is famed enough for preserving the most endangered Asiatic lions and host of other wild animals too. On reaching check into the forest resort and enjoy lunch, dinner and night stay at the resort.
Next day we set out for a jeep safari tour of Gir National Park. Two safaris are organized in the morning and another in the late afternoon. During these safari tours you need to keep your binoculars ready so that you could clearly spot those much awaited ‘big cats’. After the morning safaris, we return to resort for lunch and later again embark on another safari tour during the late afternoon. Post safari we return to resort for dinner and night stay.
On the morning of Day 3, we leave for Ahmedabad en route Junagadh’s Uperkot fort, an ancient fort dating back to the era of Chandra Gupta. After our visit of the fort we drive down straight to Ahmedabad station/airport where our representative sees you off and you proceed for your onward journey back home. Here ends your memorable Ahmedabad-Gir tour.

We were awestruck by this temple, the carving is sublime! We went Saturday morning and enjoyed listening to the temple music. It was really peaceful and calm. You can take lovely photos outside but inside just enjoy the experience, no cameras allowed.Thank you Gujarat Expert for a memorable trip!

Hi all,It was a great pleasure for us. The entire trip from Baruch to Dwaraka, Bet Dwaraka. Nageshwar, Somnath, Bhavnagar, Nishkalank Mahadev and return to Ahmedabad was very nicely planned. I go to the Statue of Unity one-day tour, tour started from Ahmedabad with Gujarat Expert, and this was a fantastic family experience.
